Getting Started

Update as of May 1st, 2013

We have reached a point in our membership where we will only be accepting new members on a limited basis. Our membership base is nearly capped, so we will only be enrolling new members for certain time slots. The main purpose we have chosen to cap our membership is so that we can continue to provide the quality coaching on an individual basis that is vital for the success of CrossFit Healdsburg. This does not mean we are not accepting new members, it just means that we have limited space available. If you are interested in joining our community, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. Try it for FREE!!

It’s really easy to get started. No matter your fitness level or background, all that is absolutely necessary to start training is an open mind and a commitment to the program.

Maybe you’re not sure if this is the program for you, or not sure you will “fit in” once you get to the facility. That’s perfectly understandable, and you are not the only one who has felt that way. Come by and join us for a free assessment and work out, nothing we say will make much sense until you do it. Give us a call at 707-395-0157 or email sjonz3@yahoo.com  to schedule your appointment! The first class is free and if you don’t like it, all it cost you was 45 minutes of your time and at the very least, you will get a great workout. However, if you don’t try it, you could be missing an opportunity that could be life-changing.  Are you willing to take that chance?

Send us an email sjonz3@yahoo.com  or give us a call at 707-395-0157 and will be in touch with you. We look forward to hearing from you!

2. Once you complete your free intro, the next step is to get signed up for the Foundations Course.

Foundations Course

The Foundations Course is designed to expose the newest members of our community to the fundamental movements of CrossFit. Our coaches will teach you the basic movements, correct form, proper technique, full range of motion, skill development, and intensity. Sessions are 50 min and include strength training, skill training and a workout.

Movements: squat, front squat, overhead squat, press, push press, push jerk, thruster, deadlift, Olympic warm-up, hang power clean, and hang power snatch.

HOW MANY SESSIONS?

During your Initial Assessment we will discuss your training background and gauge your skill level to determine how many sessions it will take to bring you up to speed. The number of sessions needed to bring you up to speed vary by person, but most people will need between 3-9 sessions.

  • Those new to training, very sedentary, or with health, weight, or mobility issues need 9 sessions.
  • The active & healthy may only need 3-6 sessions.
  • Those with weightlifting, gymnastics, or CrossFit experience may need only 1 session or may even go right into classes.

Just send us an email sjonz3@yahoo.com  or give us a call at 707-395-0157 and will be in touch with you. We look forward to hearing from you!

3. JOIN THE GROUP CLASSES

Once you have completed the Foundations Course you are ready to jump into the Group Classes.
